Donations for a healthier planet

We want to keep it simple and facilitate (micro-)donations by making it as simple as possible to integrate with other IT systems. Every donation is spent as effectively as possible on climate projects that really matter. No barriers to get started, free developer accounts, unlimited API keys and a low fixed-price of half a eurocent (EUR 0,005) per API request.

In August 2020, we started this project to try out if this idea could work. The amount of climate actions we can take for the donated money depends on the global market but as for August 2020 every EUR 15,- donated (or 3.000 API requests made) allow us to donate to projects that result in approximately all of the following:

• 200 kilograms of CO2 is compensated

• 1 kilogram of plastic is removed from the oceans

• 400 grams of fishing net is removed from the oceans

• 3 trees are planted

• 250 bees are adopted

• EUR 1,- is donated to climate research and litigation

• 3 students are educated about Climate Change

Global trade moves at top speed. Just as the climate, the prices (for example for CO2 compensation) change. Climate project requirements change as do their geographic locations, exchange rates of local currencies etcetera. Our world is full with amazing charities, all with their own objectives.

Above might change overtime increasing, decreasing or shifting depending on the available projects and required costs. We aim to spend a minimum of 90% of our donations directly to charities. The other 10% is simply used for costs to keep this project running such as web hosting, marketing etcetera. Every donation matters and contributes to a better, healthier world.
